Description of ZCEN Inner Removal Profile Installation

Designed to remove inner tie rods without having to extract outer tie rods. Turns smooth tie rods easily, which is the best tool for easy removal, maintenance and installation of tie rods. Slide the tool over the end and tighten the collar for operation with the 3/8” drive extension; the adapter can be used for larger breaker rods/extensions. Fits for all standard tie rods with smooth cylinder ends; Work on any rod that fits between the 3" top and bottom components with both 9/16" nuts screwed on and tightened. When you insert the socket wrench or breaker lever and turn it as needed, the tool teeth can firmly grasp the lever. Compact/low profile design means no bulky tool to store; Inexpensive and effective way to turn smooth tie rod ends.

Useless Tool for Automotive Mechanics

This tool was a complete waste of money - it didnt work at all .The only positive was that it came with clear instructions. The negative is that it was supposed to be a time saver BUT ended up wasting even more time. A frustrating experience overall..

Pros
  • Efficient installation of inner removal profile
Cons
  • Installation process requires specific expertise and can be time-consuming for non-professionals.

Only tighten each slider in small increments.

I read the reviews about it and took a chance. I was able to replace the inner tie rods on my daughter's base 2008 Sentra. I tightened it a little over 1/5 turn each time it slipped until I could loosen the tie rods. While I'll admit that when I put it on it seemed like the thread would snap and break, but after each use the threads looked normal. If it breaks I would buy an exhaust clamp locally and use the u-bolt from that. I have a metal vise that I can bend if necessary. I recommend it to…

Pros
  • Inserting a socket wrench or breaker lever and turning as necessary allows the tool's teeth to firmly grip the lever.
Cons
  • Annoying
