Works for a two step process.

I used this in a two step process. My henna was Godrej Nupur Mehendi Powder 9 Herbs Blend, 150 grams, first mixed with warm Goya coconut milk. Then I added zenia indigo powder (almost the entire 100g pack), 1 tbsp sea salt, almost hot water (helps dissolve the salt), 3 tsp nupur henna, and 1 tsp guar gum powder (this helps the to make the mixture softer). Stir, then let stand 10 minutes, until a blue-dark green glaze forms on top. I applied it to my hair (natural African American hair) and let…

Great results with Indigo!

Very happy with the Indigo purchase. I did this in two steps with another brand of henna to get a rich black color. I'm a laid back Type 4b, African American with high porosity hair. After using henna that had been on my hair for an hour, I washed it off and mixed 1 tsp. Sea salt with indigo powder and some green tea that I left long enough while I washed off the henna. I added this and nothing else and left it without heat for an hour; then i sat under the hood dryer with heat for another 40…

Great product and price

Well I'm a black haired male with gray temples and the back of my head. I use henna regularly to give my hair a beautiful dark golden brown hue. I tried another indigo product two years ago and it didn't do much for my hair. It could be the product or maybe I didn't follow all the instructions. I decided to try USAWHR Indigo Powder. First I applied henna, and then immediately after washing off the henna I applied indigo. Before applying, I soaked indigo for 15 minutes along with a tablespoon of

Causes a headache, be careful!

I've used it twice and both times I've had a bad headache. Throw away the rest. I think it contains chemicals and should not be put up for sale. I have used other henna indigo hair products but was tired of paying for shipping so I gave it a try and really regretted it as it gives me a headache putting it on after just an hour. I left the indigo henna on for 4-6 hours and had no side effects so I'm warning everyone. Someone just reported that they checked theirs and found massive amounts of…

No color, but yes migraine

I developed the color overnight and when I applied it to my head it was beautifully darkened as part of a two step indigo henna process. I left the color in my hair for four hours and got a violent migraine with complete dizziness, nausea and tinnitus from which I still haven't fully recovered. Henna hasn't affected me in any way from the first step, so I know what I'm to blame for. It might have been worth it if my hair had turned black, which it didn't. Already dark brown, there wasn't even a

This product contains too much lead

As a longtime user of henna and indigo hair dye, I spent $150 and sent indigo power to the lab. This shows that the powder contains lead. I have read several articles on herbal hair powder toxicity analysis; Most of them contain higher amounts of heavy metals, especially from India. No more henna and indigo to dye your hair.

The best black hair color powder without chemicals!

This is by far the best way to dye your hair black WITHOUT allergic reactions. I have seen that many paints in stores contain chemicals like PPD which are very dangerous. I found that there are no chemicals in Zenia products so I bought them to dye my hair black. I have tried several henna and herbal products on the market. Nothing compares to what this indigo powder did to turn my gray hair black. I bought indigo powder along with henna powder to get black hair. Here are the steps I followed…

Covers my gray hair

My hair started going gray years ago so I have used indigo with henna to cover it for years and it is by far the highest quality indigo powder! This gives me the perfect black to hide any gray (or white). Even my husband who hates using regular hair dye loves this indigo powder for the most natural black. I was a bit hesitant to use the product at first because of some of the reviews, but I have found that many people abuse the product. I mixed the henna and let it sit for 1 hour and then after
