It works! Problem-free cold start.

If your car doesn't start well in cold weather, just install and plug in for 2-3 hours and you're good to go never have to worry again. .A++++

Pros
  • 5.8ft (1.8m) cable included
Cons
  • Good, but not great

Works great in engine heaters

Perfect fit for my 4.0 OHV Ford Ranger Block. Used it this winter in temps below 10F for an easier start. My Ultragauge has when starting the truck reported a coolant temperature of 100Β°F.

Pros
  • 1-1/2" diameter
Cons
  • Very expensive

Simply remove the original plug and install a new block heater plug.

This part requires minimal research to ensure it is the right fit for your application. The manufacturer also has information on placement. It's almost impossible to make a mistake during installation. Just follow the twist of the piece towards the block and you will be golden.

Pros
  • For a quick winter start and reduced engine wear
Cons
  • Has been damaged

460 gasser best in motors and engine parts

installed on my big block 460 for cold winter mornings. After plugging in the truck overnight at an average of 5 degrees, the truck fired up immediately and was ready to rock and roll at around 125 degrees. It took about an hour to install, and the time saved was worth the 20 minutes of idle warm-up.

Pros
  • Bracket Type: Vehicle Specific
Cons
  • Some small

Great heater for the price!

I installed this unit on a 2002 Silverado with a 4.8 liter V8 Vortec petrol engine and I have to say that it really makes a difference on cold starts. Outside. I live in the Midwest and we had a couple of single digit days with temps in -25+ last winter and the truck definitely seemed to tip over faster. I know for a fact that warmer oil and a warmer block will help reduce engine wear. The heater is probably as powerful as it gets for such a small unit, but it would be nice to have it a bit…

Pros
  • volts: 120 | Tue: 600 | Plug type: 120 volt, 15 amp (Type A)
Cons
  • Almost everything OK
