Fits Flat 6 to engine heaters

I installed this on an old airport tractor with a Chrysler Flat 6 engine. The hardest part was inserting the retaining flange or vanes into the inner ring and then expanding to hold the heater. It didn't fit completely onto the outside edge of the plug, but the o-ring went into the block and the plug fits snugly against the inner ring. If that all makes sense. Short answer, it worked, no drips and I'm happy.

Pros
  • For a quick winter start and reduced engine wear
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Easy install and great performance

I installed this on a 1995 Grand Cherokee with a 5.2 liter V8 engine. It went in really easily. Honestly being the only tricky part of the installation process was removing the old stub.I use it with an outdoor timer so it's not always on.I set it to turn on 30 minutes before leaving the car. It will not warm up the car to operating temperature but it is not designed for that. On very cold days (below freezing) the car normally takes 30 minutes to warm up. With this product the time is reduced…

Pros
  • 1-5/8" diameter
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Works great. Installation was excruciating, tight Qtrs and a stubborn plug to remove on the transverse engine. Warms well and heats up quickly. Does what it should. O-ring lube is not included, be sure to use a silicone based lube (petroleum based will ruin the seal and you can do that fun job again). It would have been nice if the cord was just a foot or so longer. Finding a way that was safe from damage and short enough that you didn't have to open the hood to connect would have been a…
