This pump is quiet for its size. I've waited to review it honestly. This pump gets the job done. It sticks to the inside of the tank and holds tight. I have a 20 liter tank with about 10 gallons of water. My painted turtle is already grown so it made a mess. Before buying this pump, the water got dirty after 3 days.
