Zilla Snake Lizard Litter Aspen Review

I do not know how the Revine supplier delivers this item to them. But when I used it as a starter for my ball python. My snake got blood mites after a few days. Very disappointed and very expensive in terms of PD treatment.

The first thing I want to say about this is that I like the look of the tank, it also feels soft, what I don't like about it is that my snake tries to dig but has some problems with it so i find the space is narrow and compact which makes digging difficult. He absorbs water and his feces stick together well.

This type of litter is my absolute favorite for corn snakes! It's very easy to clean and baby snakes love to burrow into it! A few years ago I had trouble finding this type of bedding, so I always had to stick with shredded aspen, which over time grew moldy. However, this bed linen does not mold! Even though it's a bit pricey, I still recommend it!

I mix this with 2/3 coconut for my blue skinks. It separates the coconut excellently and makes it easier to dig in. I tried using it with no other substrate but it was too dry for her and she started panting after about a week as she is a tropical type. This chipped aspen is good because it doesn't hit her nose and eyes. I highly recommend it.

Looks and works just as good as another brand but cheaper. This is the best substrate I have found for my corn snake and ball python so far. It absorbs moisture well, is easy to clean, looks good, is safe to swallow, contains no toxic fumes or odors, and snakes seem to like to burrow (if they are deep enough). Cost aside it's almost perfect for (non-giant) snakes and I'm sure many other reptiles.

I'm not sure if "little" means shredded materials, which I didn't mean to. I really needed a bed pad for my python and didn't realize that this product was shredded and not fibrous material. Keep that in mind in this review. If that's what you're looking for, this could be the product for you. Unfortunately it worked, but only after I mixed it with leftover bedding from my previous bag. Otherwise it's made of the right materials for my python and most likely your reptile.

I've only used aspen shavings for my 11-year-old sand boa since she was a child. He did a great job but just thought I'd try aspen chips to change things up a bit and try something new. This is the best litter and will be my new pick from now on. Aspen shavings are an excellent choice, no complaints. Low in dust, almost odorless, very clean, and especially for sand boas it is very important that they can occupy the litter, since they spend most of their lives underground in the wild. These…
