Picture quality and app are good - you have to turn them off when you are at home.

The price is excellent and the picture is really worthy. I've set up motion detection but haven't had a chance to play with it yet. What's missing is a way to turn it on and off when you're home, unless you're using it as a baby monitor or something. . To get around this, you'll need to buy a $10 Wifi Alexa plug with an Alexa device (e.g. Echo Dot) (I find Meross plugs work really well with Alexa. Decent hardware complemented by a super imperfect app

The camera itself is fine. It's been online for a few months now and I haven't had to reset it, reconnect to a Wi-Fi network, or perform any other such complexities. Build quality is acceptable and it just works. I had a similar Foscam IP camera for a few months and had to reset it and connect to a Wi-Fi network at least once a month! Zmodo just works. Update: I missed the return window for this camera; but i wanted some to know that out of the three i have this one seems to have a problem with the day/night sensor. At first I thought it switched between day and night vision due to the position of the camera (the audio was very loud unlike my other cameras). Good cameras for selective use, poor maintenance

So my experience is in information technology and I have installed many types of IP cameras. They can usually be easily set up from the phone; Put your phone in airplane mode, connect Wi-Fi to the camera's built-in peer-to-peer Wi-Fi, follow the prompts, and you should have a working camera. I set up a lot of zmodo, sometimes it's not smooth the first time, but it should be if you repeat these steps.
