Pretty and gets the job done

I love this vegetable brush straight from the garden. It's a little rough on softer veggies like zucchini, but very good on carrots.

Buyer's regret/Low quality

Wooden base cracked in the middle on second use. The short, thick inner bristles stay moist for a day after use, which keeps me wary of mold growth. Bad product no matter what.

Can't stand it.: Fruit and Vegetable Tools

I've used this to peel cucumbers maybe 5 times and it already has a few cracks in the wood and what appears to be mold on the wood. I thought it would be more hygienic than plastic but I'm not sure if what I'm seeing is mold.

  • New
Cons

Not the most durable, but biodegradable!

Works as advertised and I love that it's biodegradable but I'll admit it's not the strongest or most durable. Anyway, it does the job adequately and I would rather buy these than continue to dump plastic waste in landfills!

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

The perfect vegetable washer

The perfect washer for carrots, potatoes and any vegetable in general. The size is good, there is no plastic, the bristles are quite abrasive, they remove dirt in one or two strokes, they don't fall out. I will be buying more of the small size once they are back in stock.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Perfect little brush and no plastic packaging.

This is a sturdy little vegetable brush that fits perfectly in my hand. It's very easy to use. I never thought I would admire a vegetable brush, but this one is perfect. Bonus points for no plastic packaging. Even the box packaging looks like biodegradable cellophane.

Pros
  • Top marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Volume

Good brush for vegetables and fruit

Comfortable shape, feels good in the hand. It's strong enough to remove all dirt from potatoes, but soft enough to use on soft fruit. I used to have a little scraper that fit like a ring and was made out of hard plastic and nylon. Thats much better! I keep it on a soap dish which keeps it off the sink and allows it to air dry easily after use.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Nothing

Excellent brush for vegetables but the body cracks.

I really like this brush. I use it every day to peel carrots, which I then chop up and eat raw without peeling. The brush feels good in the hand and the bristles are just the right hardness. I have read in other reviews that the wooden part of the body cracks. I have oiled the top and sides with oil before use but to no avail. The bottom of the case cracked on the fourth day of use. However, I continue to use the brush and it still works very well. I want the manufacturer to use a type of wood…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities

I love this brush! on Kitchen & Dining

This is a great brush. This works really well because the bristles are stiff and don't bend back and forth like a cheap vegetable brush. If you are looking for a potato or carrot peeler, look no further. Buy this. You will be satisfied with your purchase. I plan to buy more for my daughter and relatives. I like the wooden handle as it doesn't break like plastic handles. But what impresses me the most is that the bristles are not artificial material, but Lechugilla agave. I watched and learned a
