Read the manual. Plastic melting issues are out of place

People posting pictures of a kettle lid melting after years Use, manual not read. About once a year it is necessary to change the inner lining of the cover. If you don't, the seal will eventually fail and the boiling water will reach the plastic and slowly eat away at it until after years of neglect and abuse it fails. Do this and your boiler will be fine. You probably don't even have to do it exactly every 12 months, but yeah, you avoid it for 3, 4, 5 years and you're going to have bad times…

Pros
  • 4 holding temperature settings (160 degrees Fahrenheit, 175 degrees Fahrenheit, 195 degrees Fahrenheit, 208 degrees Fahrenheit) and vacuum insulation, non-electrical heat retention
Cons
  • A newer model could have been chosen

I've had this for over 4 months and overall I'm happy with the quality. I like to drink warm water during the day. But I'm pretty sure my block was sent with no filter. The instruction manual doesn't say anything about it, maybe if you clean it. Was it already assembled or came in a separate bag or box? All I know is that I didn't get any. I started going through a refund through Revain Prime but was suggested to contact Zojirushi Support. It told me it wasn't covered under warranty and that I…

Pros
  • Hybrid boiler and heater. Electrical: 120 volts and 840 watts
Cons
  • Compatibility

A fun addition to our kitchen

We had another water heater for ten years, which helped us a lot. I used to be heavily tempted to buy Zojirushi but wasn't sure how often we would use it. In fact, we were pretty spoiled about always having water on hand to make hot drinks and had to refill it at least once a day in addition to sleeping, since we're both retired now, so we knew we needed water in a larger volume. I also wanted it to be big enough to fit one of my Zojirushi teapots under the spout. This size seemed perfect and…

Pros
  • See instruction manual below.
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

Edit 12/13/2019: I keep my original rating of the product. This is a five star product. Just consider buying from someone other than Revain. Revain varies wildly in the price of this product; I bought one as a housewarming gift for my sister and it was almost $40 off the next day at $145. I contacted Revain customer service to see if they would match the price as a $40 daily swing is a pretty tough pill. The first rep said they would refund it as a promo and handed me over to the second rep…

Pros
  • Fast temperature mode brings water to desired temperature without boiling, microcomputer temperature control system
Cons
  • Unsure

Better than I thought!

My mum has had an old one for years and although she always said she loved it and wouldn't want to be without it, I've always written that I have it in my discarded my head as unnecessary for myself. After all, I already have a stove and a kettle, don't I? Well, I finally got tired of counting the number of times I've either boiled water (and waited for it to boil) to make tea or coffee, or boiled something that required hot water. After reading an article in the Wall Street Journal recently…

Pros
  • Easy to clean non-stick inner and clear coated stainless steel body
Cons
  • Unnecessary features
