They are definitely taller and not skinny at all. I have to wear it for my side act and it doesn't impress me. It was very painful to put in and I'm not happy to take it out later.

They are all made the same way. I don't know if it's the shape or the size, but some spots just don't fit. I also went through 3 because the gems fell out. Sometimes teeth loosen up within a week and start clinging to everything. However, the metal doesn't irritate my skin, which is great as I'm sensitive to it.
