Very tough for sports

They seem like a solid alternative to plastic pedals, but I can tell right away that they are of poor quality. They barely spin and I wonder if they have real bearings.

Pros
  • Metallic luster: An anodizing process that retains the metallic luster.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Terrible build quality

Bearings do not rotate freely. I removed the dust cap and the pedal is unusable as the end of the axle is riveted and not a regular removable nut. I sent the pedals back.

Pros
  • Aluminum Material: Using precision cast aluminum, reducing the weight of the foot.
Cons
  • Obsolete

Inexpensive plastic pedals for retrofitting

I'm old enough to remember a time when molded plastic bicycle pedals didn't break. These aluminum pedals were a nice upgrade for my son's mountain bike. Now I have peace of mind at a reasonable price. Be careful because this model comes in both sizes.

Pros
  • Thread size: These pedals are 1/2 inch. Please confirm the appropriate bike thread size before purchasing.
Cons
  • No Instructions

These pedals had a very tight uneven twist when delivered. There was a feeling that the compression in the bearing was too high. A pedal also got stuck in part of the twist. I removed the dust caps from the ends of the pedals in hopes of setting the correct tension, but found these pedals were unserviceable. I managed to loosen the pedals a bit by hitting the ends of the outer spindle with a hammer. A pedal still sticks, although not enough to affect intended use.

Pros
  • DU bearings: DU bearings are wear-resistant, you don't have to worry about the pedals breaking.
Cons
  • Can't remember
