So far, so good. on Parts & Components

Seems to work well. Installation wasn't a problem. Removing the old pedals was much more difficult. I'm glad to have received this. I'm not sure what the purple stuff is for. Who knows πŸ€·πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

Great for the price

I weigh 350 pounds and decided to bike to work to lose weight. I bought them about 6 weeks ago and I ride about 25 miles a week and there are a lot of hills in my area so they are under a LOT of pressure. They have held up great so far.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Looks exactly like what came with my MTB

. I am a simple person. The metal ones look fun, but they also look very painful if they hit you or something else with them. This is the style that came with my bike and it worked great. When my old one broke the end after 10 years, I bought this one.

Pros
  • . Works great for me.
Cons
  • minuses

These are cheap plastic pedals

I mean what do you want when you buy them? These are cheap plastic pedals and don't claim to be great pedals. However, they are functional and decently finished, which is more than many Revain pedals can claim. If you just want bone pedals, they're fine.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Empty

Great replacement pedals for Cleary Gecko

When little Tag was learning to ride his 'big' bike (the Cleary Gecko), we first removed the pedals so he could switch over and use it as a strider. d previously used. But then we lost the pedals! These are the replacements we bought and they worked great. (And as is so often the case, the original came out a few weeks later.)

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Requires socket

Not very durable and breaks very easily.

My 12 year old son was riding his mountain bike with them for less than 2 days and accidentally knocked his bike off the footrest causing it to tip over and breaking the pedal. Yes I understand they are plastic but that's what the pedals were like on his old mountain bike that he rode a few years ago and they've suffered a lot over the course of 3 years and never broken like a plain one tip over.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Good but not great

Service Immediately

Both arrived with the pedal-to-axle nut so tight the ball bearings had seized. It would not be free play at all. I loosened the nuts and it only spun freely once. I washed the "grease" out of the ball joints and now they both spin freely many times. Lubricated the bearings with 90 gear oil, tightened the nuts and now they work as they should. I have no idea how long they will last as I haven't ridden them yet.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Quality

Decent flat pedal for the money

I wanted a simple flat pedal for my road bike when not using the bindings. I didn't want a metal pedal as it hurts when a metal pedal hits my foot (it's happened way too many times). Also the typical metal pedals are too big for mountain bikes and in my opinion. I didn't want to spend a lot on replacement pedals either :) In the end, the choice was between these pedals or Schwinn pedals, but the default setting is 1/2 inch on Schwinn pedals, and you'll need to insert the included pedal adapters

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • The list is long.
