Actually worked fine for about two months. Bought to set up my trolling motor as the previous owner wired it directly to the battery. It has been raining heavily lately and as I got out to prepare the boat for the voyage I noticed a lot of rust on the terminals. Tested the trolling motor to ensure the switch does not complete the circuit. I think it was asking too much for a marine switch to be waterproof?

During installation, one of the nuts was tightened so much that the strut began to rotate on the body. I had to carefully use a vise and a rag to keep the post steady. Being careful not to damage the threads, I finally untied them. I had to clean the threads to get the nut to fit again. When tightening the cable I had to grab the end of the rack to make sure it didn't rotate. Notified the seller for help but there is no response. I bought three of these 20A circuit breakers. I installed all three in my converted van but I only have one working circuit at the moment. The first block I had in a working circuit didn't work so I had to replace it with one of the other blocks and it works. What was wrong with the failed unit was that it stayed in the off position. Use two of these between my solar charge controller and my battery pack, one on the positive wire and one on the negative wire. I know I only have to use one for protection, but it seems easier to connect my control board with 10 gauge wire if I use 2 breakers. I really like them and would rate them 5 stars but I didn't expect the extra room needed to move the screw back on the protective caps to tighten the set screws. I bought 5 of these in different amps for a caravan project. I found that when charging the battery with a 65 amp load, a circuit breaker would trip at 80 amps after a few minutes and then at 100 amps. The switch terminal, 4-gauge copper wire, and crimped lug became visibly warm, causing the switch to trip and had to wait several minutes to reset. .
