Description of 🔧 Zurn Wilkins 1 NR3XLDU Pressure Reducing Valve

Designed for installation on potable water lines to reduce high inlet pressure to a lower outlet pressure. Integral strainer makes this device most suitable for residential and commercial water systems that require frequent cleaning of sediment and debris. Direct acting integral by-pass design prevents buildup of excessive system pressure caused by thermal expansion. Maximum Working Temperature (F):180. Balance piston design enables the regulator to react in a smooth and responsive manner to changes in system flow demand. Provides protection from inlet pressure changes.

I can't give more than a start to something that doesn't work.

Update 2021 - has been working for over a year with no malfunction hence my rating has been changed to 5 stars. First review. The device makes a very well-made impression, no rattling or the like. It seems to work most of the time, but sometimes it just stops limiting the pressure and lets pressure into your home system. I have a Moen Smart Water Dispenser and have attached a screenshot showing the pressure rising well above the 70lbs I set it to. it actually went from 70 to 125, and I'm not…

Easy to replace but should last more than a few years

This is a replacement for the discontinued BR4 valve. Replacing an identical valve with a double fitting is half an hour's work. Watch a few YouTube videos to see the process. This becomes much more difficult when you have to cut and solder the pipe. You can also buy repair kits for these valves. They're not much cheaper than a new valve, but if your installation requires cutting and soldering replacement tubing, a rebuild kit is a better option and can be installed without removing the valve…

Works Great - Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Plumbing

The pressure in my house peaked in the mid 80's after taking too long to install a regulator. Zurn Wilkins 1-NR3XLDU 1" looked like the right one. The old one wasn't available in 1991. The old one had a port on the inlet side and the other used a threaded port. I can't figure out why only one port was used, but this does I've seen it before. I decided to add a fitting on the outlet side. The fittings on the ne regulator weren't sweaty, they were threaded. I couldn't find any info on the type of
