You shouldn't even let your granddaughter teach beginners because there are a lot of bad ones: broken ends catching yarn, some with glue stains, glue overflow. General roughness of the needles. Doesn't look sanded or polished, feels rough. Unsuitable for use as it damages yarn through snags, breaks and breaks.

I started knitting white snowflakes and noticed my thread was turning yellow, the color of the tube. Since I had practiced the pattern, it didn't really matter. Just a little sanding made it smoother, which is what I did with the more expensive set, and I had to sand some of my aluminum hooks here and there. Everything is fine for my favorite pastimes.

These are great needles for the amateur knitter. They are good quality for the price, I haven't had any problems breaking them like others. They had a plastic smell when I first got them but they are made from plastic tubes so what do you expect I just left them and the smell was gone. Please remember that these are very inexpensive circular needles. If you want high quality needles you have to pay for them but to me they are amazing!

I have several sets of spare needles but wanted to use something less expensive for projects that I knew wouldn't finish quickly, are smaller than a #4 (US) needle and could be used as a stitch holder for a large number of stitches.
