I love this slicer. It has replaced my mandolin because it is so easy to use and easy to clean. Also, it takes up very little space when not in use. Instead of switching blades like you would on a mandolin, you just adjust the thickness of the slice on a bar on the side, and on the other side there's another button that's easy to press to switch to the grate. I have a very expensive fancy mandolin with lots of attachments, discs and straws in endless combinations. The problem is that in most cases it was too much trouble to get out. This little thing does most of what I need with minimal effort. It's small enough to fit in a desk drawer and is quick to access when I want to use it. If I had a little more wall space I would use the hole in the handle and hang it next to the cutting board. The blade is sharp but jams when not in use. The included food
