Friends and family think I'm an excellent cook. I have amazing tools that help me prepare food from scratch. My sister gave me this a few months ago to replace an old mandolin. I bought a second one. Wow. Easy to use. Three ideal thicknesses on a switch slide, slice or julienne with another switch slide. 6 positions at your fingertips. Ideal for onion, cucumber and tomato slices or carrot and pumpkin julienne. Highly recommended, durable and dishwasher safe. WARNING: Always return the food slicer to the "locked" position after use. I didn't and cut my thumb trying to get it out of the drawer - very sharp - and that's a good thing!
