Replaced Centurylink modem

Excellent product, easy to set up, stable and reliable. Edit: December 26th and died. No help from ZyXEL, not even listed on the support site. I feel like I was burned by a discontinued product with no warranty.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • There are issues

Works great but not on Qlink

This is a great wireless router, but it doesn't have a Century Link interface to set up the device. Century Link technical service proves that a brain dead person can still live. I returned it and got one with the GUI of the Century. If you have a computer recycling center where you live, go there and buy one.

Pros
  • Looks great
Cons
  • Useless features

Good product, make sure it is safe to install.

The DSL modem is very good and provides a stable and reliable connection to my service provider. Make sure you go to the settings panel to make sure it's safe. I found several MAC addresses stored by external devices. Luckily, the MAC addressing feature has been disabled.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Excessive price

What's not to like?

After I disposed of the range extender and did a factory reset, it worked perfectly - and most importantly - with no constant reboots. The only caveat I would suggest is to ADD another login/password with admin privileges and once that is done hacking the default "admin" whose pwd is 1234. You must of course save and not forget the userid and password, but I suppose if you do you should be able to recover this by doing a factory reset.

Pros
  • shines

  • Hard to tell

Couldn't figure it out

I have (had) an AT&T DSL. My AT&T modem died and they wanted $100 for a new one that would take longer to arrive than the Revain, so I ordered this one. Arrived quickly, new, no complaints. I believe this will probably work, it has all the necessary inputs for DSL, but the configuration is neither obvious nor easy. Even after calling AT&T tech support, they couldn't figure it out. I'm not a techie, but I'm not an idiot either. I just don't know what all these terms and numbers mean or are…

Pros
  • cool stuff
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Arrived safely. Before receiving my order, I went back to the Revain product page for more information about the device. While doing this I read 2 reviews stating that this device does not work with Century Link even though it is advertised as doing so. When I received it, based on the information in the reviews, I sent it back almost immediately. However, I decided to give it a try. The device works perfectly with the Century Link DSL that we have. It automatically detected a DSL connection…

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Reliability
