Poor performance but good business support

EDIT: 03/01/19 - Zyxel has agreed to buy back my devices entirely, so that's great. Originally left a 1 star review but Miguel was very accommodating and immediately refunded after noticing my 1 star review. Thank you, I'm glad you understand why I would be upset. After I returned the equipment, I built my own firewall that works like a $2,500 router for only $400. Look for Protectli, they sell a barebones kit for $259. Only need RAM and mSata boot disk, installed open source software, pfSense.

Works great at the price of

Newly unwrapped This is pretty good for the price. The web interface for configuration works perfectly. You also have the option to customize the console. I'm working with multiple VLANs, which are a bit more complicated than usual to set up. but in the end it is configured and working fine. Management is not very good. However, they have a YouTube channel with medium quality videos but quite informative. Licensing for IDP, content filtering, etc. is reasonable and must be done through theirโ€ฆ

Very disappointed, the specs should have made it an epic winner. The software makes it an error.

I had high hopes that this unit could replace my PA-200 product. The experience out of the box wasn't too bad and it was relatively easy to connect. Then, slowly and steadily, it began to slide into a useless pit of darkness. If you're using a Mac, iOS or anything other than a PC/Windows browser, you'll need to search the forums for information. Pop-ups, help, messages, etc. are illegible. I can't even understand why software developers don't know how to resize a window in Java, but it'sโ€ฆ

It's amazing.

. I found it very easy to set up - easier than the Sonicwall TZ400. (I have no idea why people are complaining about this software) Before I bought this product I always had Sonicwalls installed. For most of my clients I would use the Sonicwall TZ400. While I still like Sonicwall, I like this one a lot more. It's much easier to set up, much faster and more economical too. The setup of this thing is amazing. I have a feeling the setup menu can be overwhelming for those who don't pay too muchโ€ฆ
