Keepkey hardware wallet was introduced into market by Keepkey company, which was established in 2015 with its capital in United States of America. In 2016 it acquired Multibit wallet and in 2017 shapeshift acquired it, though it still maintains the CEO in person of Darin Stanchfield.
Keepkey as hardware wallet is a little bit bigger than its competitors, but it's design is fine and good looking, it has support for over 40 coins. If it is new it will come with a seal in both end, the box will contain the hardware, a USB cable, a card to write your seed phrase and a leather case to store the card.
The Keepkey wallet has one button and it use second screen protection to secure it against keystroke spying. After buying it, the user will have to download the Keepkey client software and installed it on its computer then with the accompanied cable connect the wallet to the computer and set it up, by creating pin and write down your seed phrase.
Being an offline wallet doesn't make it 100 percent secured, so the user must also ensured physical security of the hardware so that it may not fall into the hand of unauthorized persons. The team at Keepkey still continue to improve the wallet and providing the adequate support for the users.
