samourai wallet, a security focused bitcoin wallet
My little brother was exitead when I told him about the wallet when I sgnup some months ago. The developers had in mind some military vibes, which is seen in the UI designs and the uniques features which I talk about below.
It is a unique wallet, that is built by anonymous group of private advocates who cares and values peoples privacy, they also have in mind users whose country banned the use of bitcoin illegal. it is for users who wishes to transact with bitcoin anonymously.
the security system is superb, it has a military grade encription(AES256). it is allows you set a 5-8 pins which secure your wallet, together with a private keys.
i never had any problem using it, it is cool for me, it is the only uni coin wallet i am still using it. i enjoy the feels, the user interface and it features are highly advanced.
Pros
- the developers value privacy and using a military technology to secure your tracks
- it has both its desktop and mobile version which makes it a very portable wallet
- they support the SegWit transactions, making the transaction fees less than normal, and transactions faster than usual.
Cons
- i am a fan of a multi coin wallet, any wallet not supporting much coins is not much attractive to me.
- it is not supported for ios devices. I have to use my laotop for transactions.
- no in app exchange and no hardware wallet compatibility, which is not good for holding large amount
