Needs additional work to be used effectively

I would like the rack height to be a bit higher, extra tube can be added for use with large/extra large bikes. I had to flip the B section tube against the instructions to have enough height to accommodate my two very large bikes. Inverting Section B's pipe created a large clearance to the adjacent wall and required the addition of planks of wood to allow the shelf to be securely fastened to the wall. I wouldn't call it "freestanding" as the individual pieces don't "interlock" in such a way that it forms a solid stand. The figures move a little; However, I used the included screw to secure it on top and feel it's strong enough now. I think two adult mountain bikes will fit (some reviews question this) with…

Poor design, shorter than advertised

The metal X in the tube that should hold the stand straight is too thin and the two pieces aren't welded together in the middle so it flexes when weight is on applied to the stand, resulting in unacceptable forward lean. Using the included wall screw can fix this situation, but you definitely want it to go in the stud rather than using a drywall anchor! He's also not 79 inches tall. The vertical tube rises to nearly 78 inches, which isn't far. However, due to the position of the adjustable…
