Did not fit my 2004 Ford F-150 as advertised. .

Did not fit my 2004 Ford F-150 as advertised. My 2004 Ford needs a part for a 2005 F-150. Parts are much harder to find. They must have made the split-year model that Ford is known for. To see which part you need, look at the bracket. Mine is bolted to the door with a latch. This one is in front. I gave two stars because the company took care of the part and quickly refunded my money.

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Not as good as advertised

Do what you want and fix that suicide door that won't open from the outside anymore. It's actually a poorly designed piece of corporate junk with a built in failure mechanism specifically designed to fail after a certain number of years of exposure and use, but that's not the vendor's fault, it's a discussion for another forum and one other place. They sell what the company that makes them gives them, and in this case if that's what you're looking for, you must have it.

Pros
  • Looks Good
Cons
  • Speed

Perfect latch for my door

Straight latch for F-150 from 1999 but should fit any 10th Gen F-150 (1997 to 2003). To swap the left and right sides you will need an hour, a Phillips screwdriver, a T27 bit, needle nose pliers and a 10mm socket. It's very simple, you can just join the project with little or no research on YouTube. The part comes with OEM tags (pic 1) and is about the same size as the old part (pic 2; sorry for the poor quality, too lazy to return). Two things to watch out for: 1) You need to save three screws

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Functionality
