Buy this, stick to the quality OEM

OEM companies, works great, fits exactly. It's a lot cheaper here on Amazon than at a Toyota dealership. I tried one of the cheaper imitations but bought these one after the other, couldn't line the door up properly and tighten the latch. Hopefully it will last as long or longer than the factory original (7 years). Will be updated if it fails too early. Perfect fit for my 2012 Camry, passenger door.

Pros
  • Meets federal and automotive safety standards
Cons
  • Will not fit all

Fits 2016 4Runner

I've had to replace several door latch actuators on three recent Toyotas which makes things worse to say the least. It's very expensive to do this at the dealer, so if you can figure it out, it's worth your time. This isn't that difficult - just go to the internet and look for a video guide. I had two outlets around the same time and I switched both. Approximately $800 saved over dealer replacement cost.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Perfect replacement for the stock actuator

Passenger door actuator stopped working on my wife's Highlander. The doors would not open or close with the key fob. I found a few YouTube videos on how to replace it and the job seemed easy enough to do yourself and skip the shop work. The installation was successful and took about 30 minutes. The hardest part was reinstalling the stem into the actuator that actually opens and locks the door. Once installed, the new drive works great.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Perfect for our 2013 Toyota Corolla. On the advice of my mechanic I searched the internet for this part when he found out how outrageously expensive it was for decent aftermarket quality in the local market. I asked him what type he should get and he said Aisen because they are original parts manufacturers. Between installing two new locks (front driver and passenger) I saved $200 in parts. Great :-) Now it cost me $200 to install these two, but hey. I can't buy everything cheap. In general…

Pros
  • Sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • No specifications
