Description of πŸ”© INWELD USA Aluminum Electrode: Premium Quality for Optimized Performance

E4043 is used for production or maintenance and repair welding on all weldable grades of aluminum sheets, plates, pipes, castings, and extrusions with a minimum of 3/32” thickness. Special extruded coating in this electrode is dense and without the air holes found in cheaper dip-coated electrodes. ***READ THIS: The images are for reference only. Please check Picture #2 for an approximate quantity of electrodes per pound***. Can be used as a SMAW-stick electrode or as an oxyacetylene brazing rod Very easy to use with an exceptionally stable arc, operating at low amperages with a very minimal amount of spatter or fumes. Weld deposits are strong, dense, porosity-free with good color match and corrosion resistance. Commonly used on irrigation piping systems, refrigeration equipment, appliances, boat parts, ornamental aluminum parts, aluminum door or window frames, aluminum ladders, tanks, shelves, automotive, trucks or bus parts, machining errors, and building-up missing sections on castings, extrusions, and plates. Available in Sizes: 3/32", 1/8" and 5/32" - Available Packages: 0.5 Lb, 1 Lb and 2 Lb - Select your option from the Sizes Menu - Check Picture #2 for an approximate number of electrodes.

Excellent product in rivets

I bought these, I like them a lot. Easy to weld and exactly as described. In between, the slag must be cleaned. I didn't know about preheating, but I welded thin square tubing, increased the amperage, and welded on the 1/4" brackets.

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Could have chosen a more recent model

Flux flakes off.

I'm not sure if the flux absorbed moisture during shipping or if it's normal, but the flux keeps falling off during welding. They just sent it in a bubble envelope so it's possible they were contaminated.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Not bad

Don't waste your money

Flux interferes and quenches the arc. It's garbage. And before you say, this guy probably just can't weld. I have brewed for many years. And they are very difficult to weld. I would not recommend it. I will try something else.

Pros
  • Can be used as a SMAW electrode or as an oxy-acetylene soldering stick. Very easy to use with an exceptionally stable, low amperage arc with minimal spatter or smoke. The deposits are strong, dense, non-porous, with good color matching and corrosion resistance.
Cons
  • Incredible Piggy Bank

Very good option for aluminum welding.

I have been welding professionally for over 7 years and these are the best aluminum rods I have ever used. They come in very handy on both thin and thick sheet metal when doing your part of the job. The material doesn't have to be super clean, but it helps. I fixed a lot of aluminum with it!

Pros
  • *** READ THIS: Images are for reference only. See photo #2 for an approximate number of electrodes per pound***
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Problem with ratings!

Will buy these and just wanted to clarify some negative reviews. Please read article description before buying. People waste their time and others by asking questions when the information is right there. Have time to ask a question but no time to read the product description? As for the negative reviews - these are from people I'm sure trying to use these rods on an AC machine. These are DC bars and they won't work on an AC machine, period! You should have a DC machine with an electrode on the…

Pros
  • E4043 is used for production or service and repair welds on all weldable grades of aluminum sheet, plate, tube, castings and profiles at least 3/32 inch thick. This electrode's special extruded coating is dense and free of air pockets found on cheaper submerged electrodes.
Cons
