Style suggests

Many layers of pastel colors can be layered on this board, but the jagged surface does not allow the pastel to move easily for shading. If you prefer layers and shading, then this board is for you.

Pros
  • Finish is PH neutral and will not yellow
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Love this board: drawing, painting and craft supplies

What more can I say. Doesn't include as many pastel colors as UArt, but does a good job. Rembrandt is not enough for that – it takes good things. The packaging could have been better - the finish was missing and there were a few scratches.

Pros
  • Similar to sanded pastel paper but much more durable
Cons
  • thin

Loved this new (to me) interface!

I tried pastel panels with Prismacolors and found the result good. This is very different from what I usually use (suede rug) but I like how it turned out. I'll have to try again with another brand of pencils and compare the results.

Pros
  • Gypsum clay coated fibreboard with a marble dust veined finish
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
