Very nice slide set

Very nice slide set. It is ideal for stereo microscopes. This is useful for a compound microscope, but it is better to use this set for low-power stereo microscopes with top and bottom illumination.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

You get what you pay for!

I thought something was wrong with my endoscope, so I looked at some slides under another endoscope. No, the slides are just poorly mounted. The bird feather was part of a very small piece of feather. Very few details. They were very cheap so maybe some of them are worth keeping.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Not the best

You get what you pay for.

I wasn't expecting much considering how cheap they are, but they managed to exceed even those low expectations (in a bad way). Three quarters of the slides were unremarkable and were discarded immediately. The few that interested children had so many waves and bubbles in the glue that they became the main feature of the samples. It is better to buy a much smaller, but properly selected and prepared set.

Pros
  • Ease of use
Cons
  • Appearance

Slides are poorly prepared. The samples show little detail and very few of them were visually interesting. Those that could potentially be visually interesting (like goldfish scales) were obscured by applying "glue" - either duct tape or paper-like tape with a poorly prepared attachment medium. These are the slides that kids will get bored to death - nothing to see here!

Pros
  • . All right!
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Great slides, lots of variety, great for kids.

I had no problems with the guides. Clear, high-quality slides that fit easily in the microscope. Good selection of specimens, slides made in Japan. My 8 year old really liked these slides and was more interested in biology which was the reason for the purchase. Everything is plastic so don't worry about younger users breaking the slides. The only complaint I have concerns the boxes. The boxes are made of thin cardboard and are cumbersome to handle or practical. I would like a plastic case with…

Better than I thought

I wasn't expecting it to be of such high quality after reading reviews from other buyers. But maybe I was lucky that my stuff turned out pretty good. I wouldn't say "top quality" but it's worth the money if you use it as a science education toy set for K-5 kids. Very funny for kids and parents. Upgrade after several months of using this product. After lots of fun science experiments with my little one over the summer holidays and distance learning at home, it has held up well for several…

Low quality slides, better look elsewhere

very low quality slides. They are plastic sliders and true to size. The cardboard boxes they come in are typical of paper boxes and wear out quickly with frequent use. And because they're smaller, you won't be able to find replacement foil cases for them. Since they're too small, you can't mount them properly on the mech stage either. The samples themselves are of poor quality with very little detail. They really shouldn't be watched more than once. For almost the same price, Revain has several

Nice set of beginner slides for children.

This preparation set is a good starter set for little ones to explore their new Amscope microscope. Slides are prepared on plastic slides, which is for security, and taped to keep them in place, which isn't conducive to clarity. The tape-down approach causes bubbles to form on the slide, slightly distorting the image when viewed under a microscope. Not exactly a show stop but something to consider and the main reason I gave it 4 stars out of 5. It was difficult to get a clear picture…

Ability to see samples clearly.

I have worked as a professional slide preparator for the pathology department of several hospitals for decades and purchased an Amscope set of 48 prepared slides, expecting that my grandson would share my delight. in exploring the microscopic world. Unfortunately, I would have to rate these funds as unsatisfactory or insufficient. I was very disappointed with the prepared slides I received from Amscope. I don't mind that the slides are smaller than standard size, or that they are made of…
