MC-4 Basic Extension Cord

Summary: When it comes to extension cords, there are two rules of thumb: a) buy the highest quality cord (be it quality or size) and b) use the shortest possible length you can get away with it. Pros: good fit and finish; the cable is clearly marked 1 x 6.0mm^2 which corresponds to 10 AWG; Standard MC-4 connectors. Disadvantages: none. Verdict: $12 for two 3-foot cables, 5-star rating.

Quality MC4 Extension Cable

"ANJUREN Solar Panel Extension Cable (10 AWG Solar Wire, 3ft Black + 3ft Red)" is a pair of high quality MC4 cables. They looked very well made. The MC4 connectors were very securely attached to the cables. The connectors in the ports looked clean and shiny. The cable looked very high quality. They are 10 AWG (6.0mm^2) and rated at 1.5kV. They were pretty tough. I have nothing negative to say about this cable.

Fixed broken cable

I bought a jumper cable because it was cheaper than buying a 25ft cable and making it yourself. The cable I bought was defective. I almost didn't get the voltage from my panels to the combiner. It came, I replaced the broken wire with this one and my meter immediately read current. The cables were quite flexible and allowed the cable to bend quite tightly with no issues. Tests carried out from the panels to the switch. All tests were great! would recommend these connecting cables.

The shorter the better

I can't make this little tripod cheaper than it costs. This is now connected to the solar panel and has been connected to others to draw power from the panels to the controller and then to the batteries for charging. Every time I can shorten a run of solar cable, I end up with less wasted energy and more usable energy. Ten tinned AWG wire is commonly used throughout solar installations and the connections are designed to reduce waste and short wires. This solar cable has been manufactured to aโ€ฆ

I have a small solar panel that I want to connect to a charge controller. If I place the solar panel where it can get direct sunlight, the connector wire will fall next to the charge controller. This three-foot extension solves that problem. What I like? Thick cable 10 AWG. They are also fairly flexible for their thickness. Tinned copper for a good connection. High quality MC4 connectors on both ends. Standard cable with red and black color coding. , but this 3 footer suits my immediate needsโ€ฆ

Connector allows connection to lighter Ga cable to reduce losses

I needed a short extension cable to connect multiple panels on my van. When this product became available I decided to order it. Here's what I found: 1. The MC4 connector is good quality and fits my solar panel connector. This allows me to use a higher quality cable (heavier gauge wire) and still connect to the existing jacks on my panels.2. It's better to have separate wires rather than a single cable as it allows you to use a shorter cable and still deal with offsets along the length of eachโ€ฆ
