ASICS Gt 1000 Running Lightning 4E: Enhanced Performance for Wide Feet Review

A great outdoor walking and running shoe for those of us with small, wide feet. We looked for other shoes that would fit wide enough but were always disappointed; this one fits perfectly.

We had never bought shoes online before, so that was a good start. My husband has wide feet and these are also hard to find in stores. Since he wore the same brand before, we thought we'd give it a try. We have been the same size as him in the past and the prices were better than in stores. So far, so good. He's been wearing them for a week now and everything is fine. I will definitely buy shoes like this in the future.

It is listed under the heading "waterproof" but is NOT waterproof. Short, mowed lawn with lots of dew (no puddles or rain) and my walking caused this shoe to become saturated. The tongue is loose and not waterproof, so the shoe collects water.

I started using it, it was a bit comfortable at first but then it keeps getting better and now I go to the gym very well, a great support for my problems.

I used these shoes for the gym and I don't run in them. They are very pleasant to walk on. The only problem I had was that after 2 years the left big toe had worn through the mesh rendering them unusable. The right shoe looks like new, but the left one let me down. Maybe they were a bad couple.

Good shoes. I am an official basketball player and these shoes are good for my feet. I bought separate orthotics as I walk all the time.

It's very hard to find my size 13 but I tried size 12.5 in this shoe and it fits me perfectly. I was so happy because I wanted this model and this color. Now the GT is dying and it's hard to find it in the right size and color. I like my new shoes.

I have just received the shoes and they are perfect, they feel very comfortable and look well made, I think the comment is missing after using them for a while.

Asics continues to release the same basic shoe under different model names. Wear them every day. Excellent cushioning. Feet wear out on some toes, and the tips of toes crack on others. on average they serve from 9 months to a year. I hope Asics never drastically changes this useful shoe.

I bought these shoes four years ago and am about to retire them. I've been running with Asics for over 10 years and nothing beats an everyday running shoe. They're a little dated in their construction (no space-age materials or flexible soles), but they're best for miles as it's a quality design that really works. Striking a good balance between lightness and durability, these shoes perform well on and off the road.

I have wide feet and it's hard to find in stores. I can count on Ebay to find ASICS in my shoe size and width. These ASICS shoes are the best. They fit great and are very comfortable. Sometimes I get joint pains and because of that I don't want to stop training - with these shoes I can keep going. I have had these shoes for several years now and they are very comfortable. One of the few lines that are very broad. Product was great just as expected.

The upper mesh is not a quality fabric and ripped within a month of daily use, bought based on reviews was extremely disappointed

Not bad for. The outsole has a "chunky" feel, if that makes sense. Although overall good. One note: I like stepping on the heel of a shoe to take it off (bad habit, I know) and recently part of the sole came loose in the process. This has never happened with other shoes.

I clean the pool so I specifically bought the ASICS Gt-1000 3 running shoes because they were advertised as 'waterproof'. The first time I splashed water on the toe of my shoe, my toe was wet. I am very disappointed in the false advertising of ASICS which I thought was a reputable shoe company.

This is a good overall show. I haven't been running much lately due to an injury, but I'm sure I could run well in these shoes. I put in a Vionic Sport insole as I have used those in my previous running shoes and they are amazing.

Here the middle distance runner is usually 8-12 miles long. I bought these after my last pair of good (under $120) Asics wore out. Don't skimp on running shoes - I've had a lot of foot problems after running in them. The problems went away after switching to a new pair of previous ASICs.

I am embarrassed to give these 2 stars because these are really good shoes that I am sure someone will like. But they are too narrow. I have flat feet ("flint foot”) and need very wide shoes. I ordered 4E (very wide) and it wasn't enough. Even 2E (wide) is usually enough for me on some brands (I have a couple of Sketcher 2Es that fit great). I wear size 11 1/2 outdoor shoes. In ASICs I usually use 12 1/2. The shoes seem to fit me and my first fitting was in a sneaker shop with impressive equipment including video analysis and more. These shoes arrived on time and exactly as described. Over the last 10-12 years I have had about 20 pairs of these ASICS gel running shoes in different shapes and I absolutely love them.
