Speedy Scarves

I love this loom! I made 5 scarves the day I received it! I wasn't very good at following the written instructions so I watched a video on You Tube and I was done! There aren't many templates for it yet, but I'm sure more and more people will play with it. I found a 5 stitch afghan knitting tutorial that I'm dying to try! It's fun because you can complete a project in a very short time. I'm a full-time mom and wife, so sometimes I really crave the satisfaction of a quick project!

These gizmos are VERY useful and easy to use!

This (this one!) works really well! I knitted a blanket for my friend's daughter and it took 2-3 months. I got so fed up with the project before it was even completed. BUT I saw this machine and said it would be even better than hand knitting for big projects. I took 3 skeins of yarn and KNIT my plaid in 8 hours after combining 6 such machines! And it's a wonderful thing! I plan to make some more afghans for Christmas gifts and I have time for that (October 1st). Hooray!

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Second, it's really not that easy to use. Personally, I can work much faster with more flexible needles. I think it could work for kids, but I think it's better to teach them how to knit with regular needles. "Well, that's only true in the sense that you have to use it with thick yarn and you can do as…
