Great APs with some limitations

These Cisco 240AC APs work great! And they are easy to install and configure. There are just a few caveats. First, they can only be configured over a Wi-Fi connection. They cannot be configured from the wired side of the network. This is probably intentional and not a huge disadvantage, but it's a bit of a nuisance since it means I have to remember to unplug my admin computer from the wired network before doing any configuration (or status) tasks. And second, the cavity wall anchors that come…

Good access point: Wireless access points

My review will be easier for 240AC devices as I am not an expert in networks and Wi-Fi. I have 5 of these devices for my home wifi and home. is about 8000 sf, indoors and outdoors. I can cover the entire property, including the ability to "move seamlessly" inside and out. And I find my house configuration very complex/confusing. I have a few areas outside where roaming is disabled for about 1 second (testing via a Facetime or MS Teams call), but that's not the AP's fault. As long as the access…

Too complex and unstable

Cisco used to be the best network vendor, they dominated the enterprise market. Now they have been overtaken by a variety of cheaper and better options. it was unreliable, I can only imagine an inexperienced person trying to set it up. Try Linksys Biz, Ubiquiti, or even a cheap 3-router mesh option and you'll be better off.
