I had a little 30pt last year, it doesn't work that well! This dehumidifier is currently in use in my damp basement. Most of our basement is finished, but on a house that's over a hundred years old we end up with stains from drywall that someone put in there and mold everywhere, I guess from sweaty pipes and moisture in the walls. Glad I spent the extra money on a more powerful unit. I first bought a few small devices to test out the dehumidifier concept and was surprised at how much water they pull from the air. So I switched to a device that would do most of my house work. It's Texas and my thermostat reads 67% humidity. My HVAC guy told me to keep the temp below 50C to avoid mold. He advised me to keep the house at 72 in the summer. I can't afford to have the AC on all the time and anything under 78 is just damn cold.
