I bought these before hanging the lamps in my living room and they worked great. The first time I bought them, I bought them at a hardware store. They came in genuine 3M packaging. The ones I ordered from Revain don't come in 3M packaging. Looks brand new. I tried using them to hang lights in my room but they didn't hold up at all. I read about these cable clips online and decided to give it a try. I specifically used them to run a long ethernet cable around my house. I attached all of these clips to the wooden floor. Only half of them survived the day. Installation was pretty easy. They just use their double sided tape. I also made sure to clean and dry the area of the floor where I attached these clips. Update #2: These clips are of very very poor quality. I want to rate "0" stars. Since I installed it almost 2 months ago, 2 hooks on 2 clips broke off. These clips and lights haven't been touched since I installed them, but they broke. The plastic is of very poor quality. Waste of money and time! Update: Just a few hours after writing my first review, I tried to make small changes to the garlands I hung on these clips. I barely unhooked the clip and it broke off. I do NOT recommend these clips.
