5 stars for price and functionality, but beware Dell owners!

Thanks to Dell and their primitive OEM motherboards, I can't get the advertised 1600MHz as the system automatically reduces it to 1333MHz. There is no XMP option in the BIOS, nor can I manually configure it with the Intel Extreme Tuning software. Pretty frustrating as the RAM that came with Dell ran at 1600MHz so why on earth it's slowing down I don't understand. In the end, doubling my RAM from 8GB to 16GB solved my gaming problems for several modern titles, so I'll just live with the speed…

Mine does not work at 1600 MHz.

These memory cards do not run at full 1600 MHz on my system. (My old [smaller GB] from Micron did). I have a Dell Inspiron desktop that does not have a memory speed switch in the BIOS and is running at a base frequency of 1333MHz. Funny that the box they came in had a sticker that said 1600MHz. so under the 1333MHz sticker (I can't remove the sticker without tearing the box, so I don't know what's going on there.) But that might not be a manufacturer's issue, it's more a seller's issue, who…

Great memory to upgrade to an older system

I've long been a fan of Corsair products. I've been working from home since March and am having serious low memory issues on my PC. I have an older i7 970 on an x58 board (with DDR3 in a tri-channel configuration) and when I built it 6GB was sufficient. Faced the problem of buying multiple sets. I decided to pull out all the stops and max out the supported 48GB board (8GB x6 slots). As mentioned, it works on 1333 unless you enable the XMP profile. I'm in no rush to build a new PC as I don't…

As fast as it seems

My computer was fast enough, but I had to brag when my friend upgraded his memory. When I saw the cooling fins on this kit I knew this was the kit I needed. My computer is noticeably faster. Now, when I log out of World of Tanks in anger, I know that with this improved memory I can quickly restart. When I get a stream sniper in PUBG, I can be sure that it was due to the increased speed and clarity provided by the improved memory. I wish it had a special thin stripe to make it look even faster…

Works as advertised in My Dell Studio XPSβ„’ 435T/9000.

The Dell instructions recommend installing memory in a specific pattern in their instructions but the next line says to start with slot 1 which is pretty logical but their recommendations say a pattern that starts with slot 2 The computer didn't start on my first try but on the second after I switched it did and seems to be working fine now. Memory. I had to trawl through the questions on this page to find the answer.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Expensive

Great product - don't forget bios xmp active 1600 MHz

I got the memory cards and installed them. The computer didn't work any better. I checked the speed and it worked at 1333MHz. I logged into YouTube and it needs to be enabled in the BIOS by enabling XMP storage mode. It's now running at 1600MHz and my system runs noticeably smoother. My PC is a budget Oculus Rift PC and I've noticed a noticeable reduction in VR multiplayer latency. 5 out of 5 stars! My computer is an i5-3570k with socket 1155. I've moved the RAM to 1600MHz with this Vengeance…

BUYER BEWARE the best computer components

Two packs ordered. In a sealed box, two sticks were misnumbered (not even close - hundreds of serial numbers wrong). Of course, they don't work together and result in a black screen not booting. The packaging is so dense and the seal is virtually airtight that you have to break open the packaging to get to the sticks. Guess what that means? There is no return. So I basically paid double to get a working pair. The working pair works well. Order these sticks AT RISK. I recommend ordering multiple
