so what do you expect but wonderful?

I have many freshwater and saltwater tanks. I always use this product in each of them. But this is Seachem, so what can you expect other than awesome?

Pros
  • Easy Installation

Great way to control nitrate in a small (75 gallon) fresh water tank

Once I started using this conscientiously in my 75 gallon tank I was able to keep nitrate at reasonable levels to control. I just put it next to the charcoal and ammonia backpacks. I don't have a high bitrate filter, which I think helps.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Aquarium cleaner takes the best time

I will retest my nitrates just to be sure. I want to start with my 300 gallon pond filtered and full of pothos. I bought this because I was still struggling with 80ppm nitrates with my goldfish (think they're dirty). I bought these and realized they can't be in a high flow filter (it sucks, huh?). So I ended up stuffing a bunch of pantyhose into pantyhose and leaving them at the bottom of my pond while I let the water run through. I also put something in the filter with more GPH than…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Not as thick as other products

The thing works! in Fish & Aquatic Pets

This thing works! My son has a 120 gallon tank that was originally 75 gallons, at 75 he had very high nitrate levels, he has live sand, live rock, solid tank. His nitrates were off the table, he added living sand and no change, then he added living stone and no change, he changed his diet, no change. . He went to 120 gallons and basically added about 60 gallons of new RODI water after we drained some water and the reading went up from the graph to about 120ppm so basically nothing was working…

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Modern

Excellent solution when used with undocumented tips

This product is very effective, but Seachem does not document well what makes it successful. It's only on their forums and not every piece of advice in one post, they're all scattered around. I've used these tips in three different aquariums and they always work. Use 4-5 times more than Seachem's directions if you have high PPM. You MUST use a slow flow of 20-40 gph, 25-35 gph is the sweet spot. I use a large media reactor from Avast that holds 4 liters and in front of it a more than…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • The list will go on.
