It works somewhat like

I like that it's cheap but difficult to maintain an arc. It will be a good first welding machine for wife and children. i will return it

Pros
  • Solid Surface
Cons
  • No Instructions

Pretty good for welders

I got this little thing because I had a job in a confined space. Setting to fire a 7018 1/8 drops to 110 volts and about 130 for 3/32 7018. At 230 volts it's a whole different story with temperature setting. World 3/8 sheet steel with 1/8 7018 for 110 volts

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Good for practice or non-critical repairs

Leads and tips are very cheap and short. Make longer wires and replace the tip, and you've got a handy little welder to practice with or make non-critical repairs. Definitely not a powerhouse but haven't seen the overheat indicator light up yet and it runs on 1/8 7018/6011, struggles a bit with 6011. I'm happy with what I paid. Also remove the cover and set the digital display to only show 160 instead of 200.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Protection

Surprisingly Good Small Welder

Exceeded my expectations! I am a professional welder by trade and I am used to using well-known brands of welding equipment. I wasn't expecting much from a $110 welder that I had never heard of before. This little box works great! Easy to set up, easy to ignite the arc, the welding is smooth and stable. I used a 3/32-6013 rod rated at 65 amps on a 1/8 square foot. And she cooked without any problems. I'll be using it as a portable welder for small repairs, but I would wholeheartedly recommend…

Pros
  • Energy Efficiency: Reduce damage to copper and iron, obviously increase welding frequency and save energy.
Cons
  • So far so good

NEW paid and used!

I don't like buying brand new equipment but receiving it used. Is this what companies do when we return items? Stinger has clear signs of wear. The copper contacts show oxidation and peroxides, and the handle itself is worn and scratched. I understand that I get what I pay for, but this should refer to expected performance, not the condition of the device and components. Everything else looks satisfactory, I'm wondering if I should use it at all or return the product and the warranty I paid for

Pros
  • Versatile: With this welding machine you can weld steel, stainless steel, titanium, magnesium and copper.
Cons
  • Something else

Had high hopes. I should have known better.

I had high hopes for this welder. But I should have known from bitter experience rather than hoping for anything. I bought this welder and after about 2 months, of course after the return window closed, it stopped working. It just turned off after trying to start the arc and never turned on again. I was looking for warranty information on the product page here at Revain which directed me to the company's website. So I did and was encouraged to see that Stahlwerk offers a 5-7 year warranty on…

Pros
  • Pure copper core cable, stable output current, long-distance transmission loss, high efficiency.
Cons
  • A small change
