I wanted to like the device as it looks good and costs a little less than others, but every time you press any key, it turns on, regulates the heat, controls the flame, etc. it gives a loud, high-pitched beep, similar to a smoke alarm. I ended up choosing a different brand.

Can I give this item 10 stars? I'm in a rental that has a you're burning the house down fireplace / yes, I've had it professionally checked. It was a charcoal burner, and a wooden beam serves as a collector, without paneling and without a flap. I HATE that I don't have the ability to start a fire. PROBLEM SOLVED! It looks much more realistic live and you can't beat the price. I'm happy!

A good device for the money. Absolutely amazing flame effect. I had a problem with mine even though it had a very loud hum. Even behind the glass insert. All the reviews I read said it was very quiet so I figured it was just a bug. I contacted the seller and he responded very quickly and was eager to fix everything. The problem was solved to my satisfaction! Excellent customer service which is rare these days.

This is a good fireplace and looks quite realistic, especially for the money, but it has some issues. If someone is sleeping in your house, you cannot use the fireplace, it will wake them up.
