With 400 KHz high switching frequency, 4A switching current, using the third high frequency switching techniques, and centered on XL6009E1, the high performance booster module XO6009 is better than earlier LM2577. The ripple and volume of XL6009 are less, achieving good effect with a small capacity filter. Rotate the screw of potentiometer to adjust voltage. With the function of over temperature protection, and power light, use more safely. Self-calibration voltmeter is more convenient to monitor and adjust output or input voltage, and make sure the output voltage is more accurate and stable. Switch the input or output voltage display by the right button.

Total failure best in Power Converters

was needed to charge some constant voltage NiMh sub-C batteries and lasted about 4 charges, then smoked. There are no problems with returns. Too bad too, I was glad to have it. Good

Exactly as described

The product was exactly as described and works great in a low voltage lighting system that required a slight increase in voltage for one of my devices in the system. I will buy more in the future.

Works well - Power accessory

Item arrived on time. It works well. I have used it in a particularly sensitive detector amplifier circuit and the noise is too high for this application. It works well in other applications where noise is not an issue.

Voltage Test Board

I use this production facility to test the voltage output of the custom batteries we offer. So far we have only had one defective reader board out of 100 that we have ordered. These little boards are strong and easy to work with. I will definitely be a repeat buyer.

Just what I needed for my Line 6 Variax guitar!

Bought one of these to boost the 5vdc from the battery pack to 9vdc to replace the 6 cell AA battery in my guitar. This combination works much better than using NiMH AA cells, which only provide a nominal 7.4V and offer shorter playback times at lower voltages. Very happy with the performance of this module!

Great amp, reusable for projects

We used these for a senior design project and they were just what we needed to get our project off the ground. Two of them had blown diodes, but that was due to our carelessness. Luckily they were cheap enough not to hit our budget too hard. Would order them again in the future. They're durable enough to go anywhere, and the LED indicator came in handy when fine-tuning the potentiometer. Otherwise we would have to hook up a multimeter, that just made the task easier. Overall a great product!

Does what it's supposed to do, but gives too much RF

I was very happy with this device until I realized it was causing the problem I've been struggling with for the last 3 weeks. I installed it about 5 inches from my GPS receiver and it generates so much RF noise that the GPS receiver cannot lock. Turning off this unit allows the GPS receiver to operate. This causes crashes when the GPS receiver is within 3 feet. Therefore unsuitable for my application. I found this by accident on other tests and placed this unit a few feet from an already…

Does not work as advertised at 3V.

I wanted to use this to activate a 12V input relay using a Raspberry Pi to control it. I decided to test the device first with 3V and then with 5V. The 3V power supply fed to the device didn't even turn on the LEDs, but registered 20V at the output. Okay, no big deal, so while still monitoring the output with the meter I bumped it up to 12V, then hooked it up to a known good relay and it didn't work. I disconnected the circuit, raised the input to 5V. The LEDs lit up and showed 0V on the LEDs…

Simplicity and easy display of input/output voltage

I originally bought this to boost my LiPo battery's 5v rail to power a weather balloon by charging the 5v rail with about 100 mA took and her potential to 12V greatly increased it. I was able to fine tune it to 12v by swapping the display to see I/O which was also an amazing bonus as I was able to read my input rail which was being used to power multiple devices.
