I originally bought this to boost my LiPo battery's 5v rail to power a weather balloon by charging the 5v rail with about 100 mA took and her potential to 12V greatly increased it. I was able to fine tune it to 12v by swapping the display to see I/O which was also an amazing bonus as I was able to read my input rail which was being used to power multiple devices. Ran the ship with the relay on board and it withstood -50C usage perfectly, nothing but the plastic wrap around the chipset. In general, it turned out to be exactly what I needed. If I had the dexterity, the digital screen to show voltage would be missing an extra unit of measurement, which would improve accuracy a bit. However, he gave me an input voltage of 4.8V and increased his low current from 100mA to 12V. No problem, which was then used to power a tilt-zone SMP10 pyranometer for a weather balloon flight with superiority. If I ever need more micro boosters this is definitely for me. Works great with a lithium polymer phone battery that I used to fly in a hot air balloon.
