Good relay. Add to your network before installation.

I really like these Enerwave relays and have used several to add circuits to my Zwave network (smartthings). During the last installation, a cabinet was switched on with a switch-socket combination. This really isn't available with zwave built in and these relays are a good alternative. Relays switch on/off immediately. Using your network (e.g. from a smartphone app) to toggle the switch will only toggle the switch on and off. In that sense, it's like adding a three-way switch, with the new…

  • Great for outdoor activities

  • Doubtful

The quality isn't enough, but when it works, it works well.

Overview: Z-Wave single relay switch. (Note Revain combo ratings, including single and dual relays). Quality and reliability are definitely a concern. I now have about 10 of these switches at home, and almost half of the ones originally purchased had to be returned because the Z-Wave wireless either wasn't working or wouldn't connect to my SmartThings hub at all. And just recently on the first switch I bought that worked for about 2 months, the Z-Wave wireless connection just stopped working…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Boring packaging

Great concept but doesn't work

I loved these and they fit into any existing junction box as expected. They turn any standard switch into a 3 position switch and the smart stuff is another "switch". So the functionality is very powerful. You keep your existing physical switch and anyone can use the switch as usual and control a light, fan, heater or whatever is connected to that switch without any difference, but on top of that you have smartthings timer based functionality - controlled functionality , geofence functionality…

Pros
  • Impressive

  • Thrown away

My favorite smart switch solution

I have three of these Enerwave relays (one single and two double). They work as advertised with Smartthings. I like that this keeps the standard switch working normally and also allows for smart control. The main thing I didn't understand before installing it is how the switch behaves after installing it. I had a single switch so the top was always on and the bottom was always off. So much so that my physical switch is labeled "on" and "off" on the toggle switch. Once you install the relay…

Good switch, details in the review how to connect 3 and 4 pins.

Great little device. and makes me REALLY happy that I finally found an alternative to the expensive practice of using a main switch with slave switches in 3 and 4 pin setups. that can quickly become expensive. This little relay works great in 3 and 4 circuits assuming 2 things: you have a neutral and a non-disconnecting always hot power supply in the switch junction box just before the load is switched to light. Almost all new homes should be wired this way. To connect this in a 3-wire…

  • Great for me
