Buyer warning! Suitable for tools and devices

BAD! The gauge only reads 45 psi. And I've tried it on 2 saws, 2 herbivores and my generator and they all got the same readings. wedding product!

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Security

Not for grassbags and chainsaws

Small motors, grassbags, chainsaws move the needle a little but not enough to get a PSI reading on the scale. I'm looking for another tool that can measure from 0 to 50psi for small engines. I wish the seller was more honest about this in the ad.

Tried 2 of them. Neither works

Hardly moving needle with small engines. Tested with mower and blower running. Tried 2 same sensors. Sent the first one back and asked for an exact replacement. 2nd is also wrong. I will be sending this second one back and asking for a full refund. Would not recommend this item.

Good value for money, seems accurate, quality construction

The hose rotates independently of the gauge making it easy to thread into the spark plug hole. The pressure relief works well for resetting the gauge and doesn't leak. The PSI range on the gauge goes up to 300 which makes reading a bit tricky but works well. Does the job I expect with no hiccups (yet).

  • Confident

  • Unreliable

Nice and bright but not the best option for 97 Firebird

Very bright and attractive headlights. The only problem is that it doesn't quite match the '97 Firebird. In this setup they are about 1/4 inch further out (forward). Luckily they don't mess with the protective mechanism or the bumper cover. Very soon I will have to use the harness protector on the wiring. Overall a good upgrade over the halogen. I had to experiment with the wiring.

Inaccurate: Compression gauge

I was in dire need of a compression gauge as my snap-on was waiting for a hose change. It worked well for what's in this price range, but the readings seemed low to me. When I turned the bar sensor back on, it read about 20-25 pounds more. I use the rig professionally and rely on accurate readings. This unit is suitable for general home use where it will tell you if you have a good compression balance between cylinders but are not expecting accurate max readings.

Pros
  • Compression gauge
Cons
  • Negative impression

Mistake! Nothing shows pressure over 50psi.

Any of those cheap engine compression testers I buy always suck. Are they checked at all before packing? Or do they think they are doing the right thing? Not accurate at all, spend the extra money and buy a compression tester that works. I screwed it up good and made sure everything was tight and several engines are showing inaccurate readings below 50psi when the engine starts and runs fine. If the compression is below 50psi then it is very likely that the engine will never start because the…
