My new "favorite product "

If you solder any components and make mistakes (like me) then you will love this product. Makes desoldering/removing components easier.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Disappears

Well! Expensive but good.

Weighs 60 grams as promised. Melts and stays melted for a while. Pretty fragile, but that's ok. Made my first SMD chip with no problems! It is easy to save both the board and the chip.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Very expensive

Works perfectly. - Welding and soldering

I'm new to electronics and have put together a few kits to learn from. I made mistakes and didn't solder all the components in the correct orientation. This alloy is excellent for easily removing mis-soldered components.

Pros
  • It's great
Cons
  • I have no dislikes for it, it's ok

Quick, easy and great price

All in all good for demolition! Be sure to buy the Quik Chip Flux and you'll be able to remove complex board mount connectors, ICs and all! I also don't know when I'll run out of these things.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Great for desoldering small components

I used this to desolder an analog stick from a PS4 controller. Just make sure you're using enough flux and that the tip of the iron is clean and tinned. I melted the bead at the joint and then used solder to remove the alloy. It was a nice clean facility. It took some practice to get it right, but then everything was smooth.

Pros
  • Fun
Cons
  • Little things

Turns a California Nightmare into a California Dream

Yes Yes Yes. I hate lead-free "Sorry California" solder. Products manufactured/sold in California must not contain lead. As a result, most elements are now much more difficult to desolder, even with temperature controlled equipment. Thinning the joint with it will solve the problem. Now you can remove the old component with a wick, hand solder or vacuum solder without damaging the board. Then re-solder with lead-tin solder so you don't have to use it next time.

Pros
  • Hands Free Operation
Cons
  • Operating Speed

Makes dismantling a breeze!

After years of doing soldering and desoldering jobs using a variety of equipment and methods, I decided to give this stuff a try after seeing a YouTube video demonstrating a few possible uses. It's just fantastic! I was able to remove two USB ports from the donor board in less than a minute; with some SRA rosin flux (I didn't even wait for the sticky flux to arrive). What little solder was left was very easy to clean and remove from the through holes to install the new component. I will orderโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Nothing Here

Bargain buy ChipQuick Low Temperature Solder

Chip-Quick is the best, we seem to blow chips into our prototype boards quite often and this is nothing but Chip-Quick to replace fine-pitch 100-pin SMD chips without overheating and damage the PCB charges. Many do not yet know this wonderful product. We use so much I bought this because there aren't many in the sets and we used a few, it's a lot cheaper. Take a large ChipQuick syringe with a special flux to go with it, nothing else will work.

Pros
  • Quick Chip Removal Alloy uses the same alloy as the leading brand but is sold at a lower price.
Cons
  • Short Manual

Recommended for desoldering on Xbox 360 but doesn't work at all

I bought this on the recommendation of several repair shops that regularly fix game consoles. It should mix with the stubborn heat-resistant solder that comes with the Microsoft Xbox 360 motherboard and weaken it, making it extremely easy to remove. It ended up not working at all and was more like regular solder than low temp. Even after using several soldering irons (even those that can get hot up to 2000 degrees). It just slid off the Microsoft solder and didn't stick well to anything.

Pros
  • Easy chip removal without hot air station
Cons
  • There are other interesting possibilities.
