Buy this if you're worried about the plumbing

If you're looking to top up your car's AC and think an oil injector, manifold or vacuum pump "may" not work together, buy both a female and male counterpart as well. That "other people are buying this too" under whatever component you're looking at is probably filled with this and other fittings. They are inexpensive and fully correspond to the description.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Bad Impression

Perfect for connecting the refrigerant tap to the yellow hose on the gauge kit I bought from Revain. The manifold gauge and vacuum pump mated perfectly, allowing me to evacuate my system after replacing the compressor, but when I tried to connect the refrigerant bottle metering valve, the thread sizes were wrong and I was unable to install the refrigerant. Very frustrated, I finally did some research and found this inexpensive adapter. It helps. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Beautifully packaged

Perfect adapter, high quality.

It's perfect! Just what I needed to convert my 1/2" ACME reservoir valve to my 1/4" flare fitting on my A/C gauges. Looks like high quality brass. Inside is a rubber gasket to seal the ACME fitting. Everything worked perfectly, no leaks, just hand tightened. I've read some reviews that say the gasket around the ACME fitting leaks, especially if you overtighten it with a wrench. I didn't have this problem when I used it as an adapter for a small can of refrigerant and hand tightened it. Nothing…

Connects car tank to standard refrigerant gauges

I have a 30lb R134a tank that has the same type of connector to connect to a set of automotive refrigerant gauges but my gauges are for air conditioning in private households. So I needed an adapter so I could connect my regular AC sensors to the tank with the r134a. When servicing a fridge with standard refrigeration connections, I only need this adapter. Of course I still need other adapters to connect the gauges to the car air conditioner but this adapter worked to connect this car gauge on…

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • Not sure

I took a car and started filling my air conditioner with R134a refrigerant. I traveled to all the local auto and hardware stores. I don't see what I need. I brought an Interdynamics DV-134 R-134a A/C gauge valve (https://amzn.com/B000CO7Q6U) but it was a 1/2" Acme thread. I then bought a set of pressure gauges called the Combo 3.5CFM. Air Vacuum Pump 1/4 HP HVAC + R134A Kit A/C Manifold Gauge Set", but the ebay hose had 1/4 threads, link here: [.] Well finally I found an adapter that works for…
