Flat Glassine Paper Sandwich Waxed Review

Excellent wax paper bags. I use them to pack about 1/3 cup nuts: each pack contains pecan walnuts and chopped almonds. I mix in a bowl. Store in the freezer in ziplock bags. Secure them with a paper clip with a small crease at the top. The best price on nuts in the baking section of most stores. healthy snack; suitable for other snacks. Better than plastic for lunch and snacks for kids. Arrived packaged and in perfect condition.

I bought these bags to keep on hand so we can all use less plastic at home. They work fine. Even though they are wax coated, if we throw them away, less oil will end up in landfill. I also bought another type of unwaxed glassine pouch which I really like too. We'll probably only use these waxed ones if we have oily items that can seep through.

So Waxtec makes large sandwich size wax bags which I have used in place of zips for my kids school lunches for over 10 years. It was then unavailable at my local family store (the big chain store didn't have it at all). So I go to Revain, but to no avail. I bought these bags called "Waxed Parchment Flat Sandwich Bags" but they are TOO SMALL to fit in a regular Orowheat plain bread sandwich.
