Resolved Trouble Code P3400

P3400 is the pressure switch on the rear of the engine on the driver's side. I also changed the O-ring. Use a 24mm deep socket. It took 5 minutes.

Pros
  • Inspires Confidence
Cons
  • Not Bad, But...

Original part, easy installation.

This is a genuine Honda part. It made for an easy repair in 15 minutes. Note. Don't forget to also get a new o-ring to make sure it seals properly!

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Can be damaged

Original OEM part - worked great.

Used in a 16 Odyssey - it's the same part for the front and back rows and problem solved. (according to others they seem to fail a bit for the rear row (primarily the VCM) about every 100,000 miles. No o-ring is supplied so you will have to buy it separately.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Infinitely Sluggish

No more than 3400r! for parts

Code p3400 appeared on my 2013 acura rdx so I looked it up and found I needed to replace this part, ordered it and installed it in a few days. Since then there is no more error code! Best not to bring it to the store and all you need is this part, the o-ring that fits in between, a torque wrench and a 24mm deep socket. All in all it cost less than $100 and only took a few minutes to swap out and now I have the tools in case the other one fails anytime soon.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Good but not great
