Looks good but not very practical

I liked the look but when it arrived it was a bit small. I have no way of seeing if I have a post unless it's sticking out at the top, which most likely will be because it's so small. That means my mail gets stuck in the rain. Also, there was only one hole in the top to hang it on a screw. There are no holes anywhere to attach it. It would also be nice if I could store outgoing mail somewhere. So in the end I didn't use that mailbox.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Mail doesn't quite fit. Difficult to install.

This is a cheap mailbox. The lid will not close when there is mail inside. It was also very difficult to install. LOTS of guessing and checking to make sure your screws don't stick out of the wall - if they stick out too far, the box is loose. There are few speakers, there is nothing to grab onto the box. Protrude just enough for the box to snap into place. Better be careful not to over-tighten or the lid will scratch the wall behind when you open and close it.

Simple, clean, elegant mailbox

I am absolutely satisfied with this mailbox! I decided to buy my own because I didn't like the one provided by my new homeowner. Pros: - light weight - nice aesthetic lily design Cons: - wall mount not included - lily ornament is difficult to snap into place (I had to use a small hammer to poke it in the provided holes) For the price, it's well made , looks good and holds a fair amount of mail, including the magazine. I highly recommend this product. **Pictures include: front view, rear view…

Cute little mailbox

This is a great option for a home that doesn't have a lot of space where you may need to hook up a mailbox to the house. It's small but suitable for large letters, but manila-sized items like envelopes need to be folded slightly if possible. I could fit a few small premium packages. However, I didn't buy it for our house but for my daughters to imitate a Parisian cafe. I wanted it to be small but not small for kids and it was perfect. I thought she and her sister would enjoy pretending to…

Requires flush mounting plate

Bought to keep my gardener's monthly payments down. It looks very nice and is a decent sheet metal size. The black finish is applied nicely and it's a cute little box. Unfortunately, without gluing a piece of wood to the back and attaching it to the wall, the lid cannot be opened properly. There is a notch on the box where the wood should go, which makes sense but makes the project difficult. There are screw holes on the back, but you can't just screw directly into your target unless you mount…

Easy installation, just follow the instructions

Easy installation if you follow the instructions. Requires 3 screws, not included. All you have to do is drive two screws into the wall 3 1/2 inches apart and leave them sticking out about 1 inch. Hang the mailbox on these two screws. Mark the screw and insert it into the middle hole for the third screw. This keeps it in place and prevents it from falling off the wall. Tighten all screws so they ONLY sit in the metal, do not over tighten. Yes the back will not be flush with the wall but the…

Missing fasteners

Was looking for a cheap mailbox to attach to house siding. Not so easy, sir. If you just put a couple of screws in the mounting holes and tighten them enough that the box doesn't want to come loose when you open the lid, you won't be able to open the lid all the way. The back of the lid is rounded, and when the back of the mailbox is mounted to a wall, the rounded edge touches the side wall about halfway. So at this point you have two options. You will either need to attach a piece of wood to…

Great post box BUT too bad it didn't have a post flag! :(

Easy to install if you follow the instructions. Requires 3 screws, not included. All you need to do is screw two screws into the wall 3 1/2" apart and screw them about 2, Allow it to pull out 5cm or so. Hang the mailbox on these two screws. Mark and put the screw in the middle hole for the third screw - this will hold it in place and prevent it from falling off the wall..Metal, not too tighten firmly.Yes, the back will not be flush with the wall but the sides will be.No need to add wood or…
