Usable Length - Computers and Accessories

Most of these cables always seem to be too long and become a problem with cable routing. However, this cable seemed to be the ideal length to connect 2x 1U when standing side by side in a rack.

Pros
  • 10GbE SFP+ for direct connection of SFP+ DAC, Twinax Copper, Passive, 3 meters (10 ft), 30 AWG.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Great alternative to more expensive cables.

So far so good! I have used them at both Lucent/Alcatel and Cisco and they have worked very well. I love that they come in a variety of colors. So when I'm done with my POC it will be very easy for me to trace my cables in a sea of black or blue. Overall very happy with this purchase and will be buying them now as needed for all setups.

Pros
  • The SFP+ cable can connect a switch, router, server, network card or other fiber optic devices to SFP+ ports for NAS, SAN and HPC.
Cons
  • Sad device

Good value for money for internal connections!

Purchased 10Gtek SFP+ to connect video editing kit to RAID storage. I was interested in maintaining high bandwidth as our content uses both HD and 4K video streams. The 10Gtek cable was perfect for connecting the editing room to our machine room. Once we have completed our assembly we will be purchasing more of these cables to connect additional kits. The cable was well packaged and well made. We tested 6 simultaneous streams of 4K footage before the editing workstation started freezing under…

Pros
  • Backed by 10Gtek 30-day free returns, 5-year free warranty and lifetime technical support. 10Gtek is a direct attach copper cable manufacturer, customized services are also available.

(Updated) custom error works fine

*Edit* It turns out my switch only supports 1GB SFP while the UDM Pro supports 10GB. Auto-negotiation failed but forces 1GB to work. So the rule of thumb is don't blame the cable and make sure your SFP devices are actually SFP+ certified.

Pros
  • Compatible with devices from Cisco, Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, Netgear, D-Link, Supermicro, Mikrotik, ZTE, Quanta, Solarflare, PaloAlto, F5, etc.
Cons
  • Only available in black color
