My picky parrot eats bread

I made bread mix with 1 tablespoon organic red palm oil, cut into small pieces and froze the rest. My cockatiel is very picky but loves the texture of bread. He has tasted the bread and likes everything except the dark kernels.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Piggy bank prize

Excellent purchase! suitable for birds

A little skeptical at first as my boys are picky eaters but he loves this bread! He eats Harrison's Pellets so I hoped he would enjoy it too and wasn't disappointed. Very easy to do. I packed the rest in portions for freezing, but I can tell you it won't last long because my boyfriend loves it.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Easy maintenance

My pionus loves it!

It's super easy to prepare, nutritious and most of all, my little kid loves it. I make a whole pot, cut into 1 inch cubes, freeze, then thaw in the fridge overnight 2-3 times a week and serve in the morning with Harrison pellets and other healthy birdseed. She likes it very much.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Birds love this healthy treat

I make them in muffin cases, keep the original packaging and store the muffins inside. I freeze them and when I need them I take one out and thaw it at room temperature or put it in the microwave for 20 seconds. my gray parrots and cockatiels love them. I use Sunshine Factor (sold on Amazon) as the oil in the recipe. super easy to do

Great for transitioning to a diet

This was a very effective product to help me transition my cockatiel from seeds to Harrison pellets. I recommend to anyone trying to change their bird diet. Simply add granules and seeds to the bird bread and decrease the amount of seeds and increase the amount of granules over time. Eventually they will start craving pellets

A good thing! good for birds

My Quaker loves it. I make it with Sunshine Factor instead of butter and bake it in a muffin pan. Remove cupcakes, wrap each in plastic wrap and freeze. I take them out of the freezer one at a time and put them in Tupperware in the fridge where I can pinch off a piece whenever I want. My friend doesn't like corn (you know, he likes frozen corn and fresh corn) in the original mix so I always get this one. Sometimes I add my own foods like cooked rice or beans when I'm feeling creative.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Speed

Revain is overpriced!

My cockatiel loves loves love Harrison's Bird Bread! However, I only give these three stars because the price on Amazon is almost TWO than online! I usually pay $10 online for a mix, but in a pinch I pay $12 for Revain due to the fast shipping. BUT when I wanted to buy more this week I saw the price went up to $16, no. Nice attempt to increase the price of Revain. I'm going back to the online store I used to use. This is happening more and more often lately.

Great substitute for bread

My budgie LOVES bread. It's seriously his favorite food in the world. Unfortunately, I noticed that when I gave him bread as a treat, he started having breathing problems (panting and tail wagging). So. Bread was eliminated from the menu and breathing problems disappeared. Due to contamination issues and reviews with other brands, I decided to try Harrison's and noticed that they have this bread mix. Thought maybe I should try it. This is fantastic! My parrot loves it. He's so happy to haveโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
