Pros and Cons of Cross Stitch

This is a really nice design. I had enough yarn but the colors were a little hard to see as they weren't marked or separated. I didn't know there were pearls here too, which I never did. The beadwork is unfinished and quite tricky, but it adds an extra dimension and looks amazing.

Not what I thought.

It's my fault I didn't pay attention to the dimensions in the product description. But still, it was ridiculously little work, a lot of effort, and little to see when it was finished. I ended up tossing it in a desk drawer, sadly I'll never finish it.

The thread is too similar in color to sort by itself.

I bought this because I love the autumn and spring imagery. I am very disappointed that I had to sort the colors myself. When the colors are so close together, it's difficult to make out a light blue, a very light blue (which was very close to white), and then a very light lavender. It took about an hour. It doesn't take long for the company to sort them out for its customers. 100% of all other brands I've bought have them sorted. I've only just started but this may be the last time I buy from…

Please read below - extra time and money

They don't separate or label colors - colors that contain very light blue, light blue, medium light blue - you get the picture - very tedious work to spend HR separate colors before you even begin. The thread is TOO THICK for the needle they give you - I had to buy special extra needles and some thin needles to work with beads - even with a thin needle I could only use one thread AND held out every other piece! So I had to buy more yarn. Being only 5 by 5, this project cost a lot more than I…
