Break easily: Fasteners

When using these screws it is very important to drill a pilot hole first. Even with the pilot hole I had a few breaks when tightening them. I don't recommend them.

Item arrived on time and as advertised. These 1/4 " grommets.

Item arrived on time and as advertised. These 1/4" x 1 1/4" grommets worked perfectly to attach casters to my workbench legs. They fit perfectly acceptable for normal use and I have not found any manufacturing defects in my screw box.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Expect 9% breakage per fastener

These were used to make the sides of a flatbed trailer for hauling shrubs and debris around the yard. Out of 100 bolts we had about 9 head breaks when driven through a pre-drilled corner in Douglas fir wood. We used impact wrenches with 40 foot-pounds of torque. Those that held during installation stayed.
